Rather than contractors having to get certified by multiple different schemes, SSIP allows one certification to meet the requirements of many clients.

SSIP members include CHAS, Constructionline (Acclaim), SMAS and SafeContractor among others are members of the SSIP scheme.

SSIP isn’t just for those who conduct actual construction activities on site such as tradesmen but also covers organisations who supply materials or services, including consultancy to the construction industry.
